Arunachal Pradesh - Land of Rising Sun

Arunachal Pradesh is one of the twenty nine states of India. Located in northeast India, it holds the most north eastern region of India. Arunachal Pradesh is divided into twenty nine districts,each administered by a district collector. There are various tourist attraction for this place include Tawang(a town with Buddhist monastery) at 3000 m elevation, Ziro (which holds cultural festival), Yomcha(limestone called 'tapen uru'), the Namdapha tiger project in Changlang district and Sela laka near Bomdila with its bamboo bridges overhanging the river.

In fact there are various religious places that include Malinithan in Lekhabali, Rukhmininagar near Roing(the place as per the popular Hindu mythology Rukmini, Lord Krishna's wife,said to have lived)and Parshuram Kind in Lohit districts as Puranas is the lake where sage Parshuram washed away his sins,the Ganga lake and various other tourist hot spots.And moreover the state provides abundant scope for boating,rafting,trekking and hiking; rafting and trekking are common activities. Some suggested routes for travel or trekking. Golden Pagoda Monastery at Namsai is a tourist attraction. Jawaharlal Nehru Museum, Itanagar has become an important tourist destination in the state capital.


In the northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, every year Ziro Festival of Music is being held and it is a outdoor music festival. It showcases the independent music scene in India. The festival was founded in 2012 by Bobby Hano and Menwhopause guitarist Anup Kutty,and has featured artists like Lee Ranaldo, Steve Shelly, Louw Majaw, Indus Creed and Barmer Boys among others. The festival is spread over four days and is hosted by members of the Apatani people in Ziro.





The Ziro festival is widely known to be the one of the greatest outdoor festivals in India. It is a wonderful oppurtunity to showcase the music talent of the amazing artists of North East India besides promoting tourism in the state.
